LIM SOPHORN

La première apparition de Lim Sophorn dans le cinéma khmer était sans doute dans le mémorable film Muoy meun alay de Uong Kanthuok en 1970 pour un second rôle très remarqué.

En réalité, c'est grâce à Van chan pheap yun que Lim Sophorn a bâti un vrai destin cinématographique. Avec So Man Chhiv, Lim Sophorn se faisait remarquer dans quelques seconds rôles ( Chhoeng day ev pouk ou encore Si yin kuy ).


Mais Tat Sam Nang, un autre réalisateur de Van chan pheap yun, est allé plus loin. En lui confiant un premier rôle majeur dans Chav kambet bantos, Tat Sam Nang a offert à Lim Sophorn ce que So Man Chhiv lui avait toujours écarté.

Sa performance se confirmant dans trois autres films : Si bay bok chhnang, Chav sratob chek et Khyorng sambol bey, lui permettait de jouer dans la cour des grands.

On peut voir actuellement Lim Sophorn jouant un second rôle dans deux films : Muoy meun alay et Chhoeng day ov puk. Dans Phal kam khnhum, également disponible, il joue un petit rôle.

Hi, regarding the poster, I don't believe any alterations were made to it. Observing the poster, if the text had been added recently it would've been more vibrant and stuck out of the poster. Also, the font design isn't quite common and I haven't seen it used on any other modern designs which suggests even more that it was probably originally on there. It is questionable though. I've also added a new video for the song with a better song quality along with a video instead of just the picture.

Hi Nat,

I am referring to the poster Chao sror tob chék ( the song Tapé ako ) that you recently posted.

I never imagined that this film was produced by Korng pich Pheap yun as mentioned.

In order to update my blog, could you confirm that it is the true original poster and no registration has been added by someone.

I watched this movie starring Lim Sophorn and Bo Ravy in 1974 at Battambang cinema and the same year Korng pich pheap yun released the film Rea hou chab chan.

In addition to my memories, this double achievement makes me doubt, because generally, Korng pich pheap yun of Chhea nuk never produced two movies, the same year.
